Core Job Responsibilities
As an Electrical Technician at PTC, your day-to-day duties will directly impact operational continuity and safety compliance. Your responsibilities include:
* System Operations & Maintenance: Executing commissioning, start-up procedures, routine inspections, troubleshooting, and comprehensive maintenance of electrical equipment and systems across refinery zones.
* Hardware Diagnostics: Assessing the condition and operational functionality of motors, electrical panels, Motor Control Centers (MCC), switchgear, transformers, cabling, lighting, grounding systems, and associated electrical apparatus.
* Maintenance Execution: Carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance alongside corrective actions in strict accordance with assigned work orders, maintenance schedules, and formal work instructions.
* Rapid Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving electrical faults swiftly, accurately, and with absolute adherence to safety protocols.
* Abnormality Reporting: Conducting thorough physical inspections, logging anomalies, and presenting actionable recommendations to supervisors and engineers.
* Technical Interpretation: Reading, interpreting, and applying Single Line Diagrams (SLD), complex wiring diagrams, electrical blueprints, and relevant technical documentation.
